Comprehensive Georgia Medical Cannabis Bill
One of our members took the time to review and edit medical cannabis laws from other states into a proposed system for Georgia. I have reviewed it and made a few annotations. Those of you with knowledge of other state laws, medical cannabis use, or health care in general, please review it and tell us what you think next meeting.

Great work, and thank you for all your input Dave!! Now, what’s the next step? Our legislators need to know that marijuana law reform is an important issue in Georgia and that we’re sick of our kids being harmed by the current marijuana prohibition laws!

I like it. I am also unsure of the next step as well; however, I know my Congressman Jack Kingston in District 1 is definitely against anything involving Cannabis and he is a long time incumbent b/c he is a tax cut champion. I’ve contacted my 2 US Senators and GA Senator and they feel the same way as Jack. Why can’t we have ballot initiative like the rest of the modern country? Because it would be legal already and we would no longer be one of two states that can’t buy alcohol on Sunday. I’ve researched some other Congressmen in GA that will side with us, or at least entertain the idea. Last I knew, that’s where we were at, selecting the right Congressman to ride this thing all the way to the (new) Governor’s desk.

Where is this currently at and how can I help? I don’t mind calling, writing, voting, or other things, I would just like to help.

My question is the same, where do we go from here? How do we move this legislation through? I would like to assist, I just don’t know where my talents would be best used. Please direct my path. As a stage three Rheumatoid arthritis and osteo arthritis patient, I am desperate for GA to have medical cannabis available.

It’s good to see that not all hope is lost for GA in the medicinal marijuana arena and the struggle to decriminalize marijuana. I am someone who believes that Ga residents deserve to know the truths about marijuana including both the many benefits the plants has to offer and the pain and harm that prohibition brings. Like the few before me, I want to help. Where do my letters go? Where’s information that I can pass on to my family and friends to raise awareness? I’m also on board for gathering signatures for legislation. Together we can make a difference, please advise me on these matters…

I don’t understand what the big issue is? why do people think so badly of marijuana but just embrace alcohol not saying im against it but come on now. Who do i vote for in Ga thats for making Ga a better state and is for increasing the Ga Economy. ??????????????????????
